Her previous board was old and it started having a permanent black marks on parts of the board from the magnetic stuff inside. Even if you slid the eraser back and forth, it would not erase. So, we purchased this one which is actually a bit larger than our old one and my daughter loved that it was in color! However, we are now in month two of having it and I'm starting to notice it not erasing fully and becoming like her old one. If anyone knows how to prevent this or how to fix it so the board will erase completely, I would like to know. Each little fruit when “stamped” onto the board creates the fruit shape with a smiley face on it!!! It is so easy even the 1 year old does it with no problems. The “pen” stays attached so no worries about losing it. A great gift!!!!
