And what power source are you using to run this ?** A: The system is designed to lift the algae or Spirulina in a circulating manner. Air passes in via a 220 V air pump into the bottom of the inner column. As the bubbles go upwards they cause a drag that sucks the culture upwards. In the top of the inner column, there are three big holes from which the culture passes out into the space between the inner and outer columns. The culture is pushed out and then pulled down by the flow in this space. This causes the whole culture to be pulled around and thereby well mixed, gas saturated and exposed to light. There are currently no lights accompanying (but coming) the system but these can be custom builts as you wish. That way you can grow all year around indoors if you so wish. We recommend to use 1-5 W per liter Spirulina culture in normal white LED light. If you do not wish to set up your own light we can custom build in additional LED-lights to fit with the reactor for an additional cost.
