It has been installed and run nearly without interruption for 12 years. It is extremely quiet, and efficiently and effectively moves a great deal of air. It is on a 10' foot bar installed on a vaulted ceiling. This is normally a prescription for rattling and motor problems. Instead, this fan just performs. It is unfortunate that others had an issue with a particular vendor who shipped their fan without all of the appropriate parts. However, the reality is that this fan has so many configurations that the blades are ordered and shipped separately. Please read the description thoroughly before you order. There are multiple vendors from which to purchase the fan. Highly recommended. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Motor without blades is.... not a fan? *by G***N on December 7, 2014* Installed this in the living room to add a bit of flair but what I was not expecting was how quiet it is and how much air it can move. Installed it on a 12' ceiling with parts supplied - except this fan does not come with blades! Even though it states clearly it does not, that's not something you expect to have to buy separately; especially at this price. Other than the blade issue the fan is a quality product.The reason for 4 stars is that it does not come with blades and the accessibility of light kits has been swept under the rug. One would think for a fan of this quality Emerson would have a matching oil rubbed bronze light kit. Nope - and they don't make it easy to figure out what will fit it either. ### ⭐ No Blades *by P***. on February 3, 2012* This $600 fan does not come with blades. I ordered blades seperately but only the fan was delivered. When I called and asked about the blades I was told they are out of stock and won't be in stock for 6 weeks. So, I now have a useless motor hanging from my ceiling. I have never heard of a ceiling fan being sold without blades.
