desertcart.com : Two Volcanoes Coffee - Gourmet Guatemala Whole Bean Medium Roast Single-Origin Coffee. 1 lb : Grocery & Gourmet Food

Review: Two Volcanoes is the best - UPDATE 8/8/2018: It's been over a year since I've bought my first bag of Two Volcanoes Coffee. Since then I've bought roughly one bag per month, every month. This is my favorite coffee! Every bag has been, as far as I can tell, identical to every other bag. The coffee is always fresh, roasted perfectly, and has a deep flavor I've never found elsewhere. Whenever people smell the freshly ground beans, they all have the same reaction: "Wow!" Even the smell has a deep earthy flavor, one that people generally aren't used to and certainly aren't expecting. I cannot recommend this coffee enough. Original review below: I'm an avid coffee drinker, though not a connoisseur by any means. That said, I know good coffee from bad and great coffee from good. This is great coffee. There's a unique flavor to this coffee that I haven't experienced before; a deep, earthy taste that separates this from every other coffee I've ever had. Since buying my first bag of Two Volcanoes Coffee just 2 months ago, I've bought 3 more - neither I nor those I share it with can get enough. Try it and you'll feel the same, I'm sure. I'm looking forward to receiving my next bag - I'm almost out!
Review: Two Volcanos and a Blog - Two Volcanos is a very nice coffee. I bought it because my usual coffee brands had been declining in quality. I am not the first guy to notice this decline. I hear talk about it everywhere. So I decided to seek out something new. In searching the web for ideas, I came across a blog about coffee by a guy named Marc Wortman. I highly recommend that you check out his website at makegoodcoffee.com. The guy does not promote any brand names. He just discusses coffee in all its aspects. I learned about the coffee berry borer beetle problem on one of the Hawaiian Islands from Marc's site. I had never heard of the beetle before, but now I'm an expert. Anyway, Marc mentioned that in his opinion the best coffee beans are grown in Guatemala. I didn't even know they grew coffee in Guatemala. I didn't even know for sure where Guatemala was. But I took Marc's advice and I searched desertcart for coffee from Guatemala. Marc specifically mentioned that the coffee berries from the Antigua area in Guatemala are the best, but I couldn't find an Antigua coffee on desertcart. Two Volcanos is Guatemalan coffee. I don't know if it's grown in Antigua, but I figured maybe not, but at least it's from Guatemala. So I ordered Two Volcanos. I am no expert on coffee; but Two Volcanos is certainly better than what I've been drinking lately. They sent me an email advising me to try using different amounts of coffee in brewing my coffee until I find the perfect amount to suit my tastes. I am in the process of doing this right now. I also bought a coffee press, based on reading about it on Marc Wortman's website; and I intend to try the coffee press method of brewing soon. Anyway, I intend to continue trying other coffees but I do like Two Volcanos. I have ordered some Kona Gold (or something like that) from desertcart. This comes from Hawaii. According to Marc the beans are so highly desired that 100% Hawaiian Gold would cost you a fortune. So they blend the Hawaiian Gold beans with Arabica beans from Brazil so you can get some of the enjoyment of the coffee taste without breaking your bank account. Well, good luck in your search for good coffee. I hope my comments help you. I am drinking Two Volcanos coffee as I write. I have increased the amount of coffee I use. Today I ground up a 6-cup amount of coffee beans and only used 4 cups of water. This is the best I've tasted so far.

## Features

- GREAT TASTING GUATEMALAN ORGANIC RARE, SINGLE ORIGIN GOURMET COFFEE - This single origin specialty brings out the best possible aroma and flavor every morning. No blending in from other regions, countries or types of coffee, gives this rare but delicious tasting coffee, a flavor compared to no other. This specific single estate coffee is grown at the base of Two Volcanoes in Guatemala. Great for House or high end restaurants. Better tasting than french roast coffee.
- THE BEST FLAVOR AND UNIQUE AROMA THANKS TO IT'S FRESHLY MEDIUM ROAST - Medium roasted fair trade, arabica coffee beans retain a great deal of their natural earthy flavors in comparison to a dark roast, bringing out the best possible flavor & aroma. This coffee is grown organically at the base of two volcanoes, where rich minerals enhance the flavor and smell of each and every bean, even before it's roasted. Medium roast exhibits the perfect balance in flavor, aroma and acidity.
- ROASTED IN SMALL BATCHES TO GUARANTEE AN EVEN, MEDIUM ROAST - Small batch roasting is more expensive because of labor costs, but ensures that each bean of coffe is of superior quality and roasted evenly to desired specifications. This process draws out the best possible flavor in each batch. Small batch roasting permits a higher quality standard in coffee throughout the complete process: from picking out the correct size of each coffee bean, to slowly roasting each small batch to perfection.
- PRESERVE THE BEST TASTE, AS LONG AS POSSIBLE - We know consuming your premium coffee bags as soon as roasted is the best way to go, but sometimes, coffee is stored in warehouses, shelves or even in your home's pantry kitchen. For this reason, each bag of Two Volcanoes Coffee is not only packaged as soon as roasting permits it, but also comes with a degassing valve built into it, to ensure only natural gas goes out, but not in, preventing it from staling. Makes great cappuccino.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A great bean for espresso
*by T***N on February 11, 2026*

This bean makes a great cup of espresso. Although I usually favor a darker roast, the beautiful chocolate notes compensate for a less oily bean. Highly recommend.
