**Q: How to use this product?**
A: Soda Ash is Sodium Carbonate.   I use it to raise and maintain the PH level in my swimming pool.   It is considerably less expensive than the price of the same thing sold under various brand names.   I don't know why the name "washing soda".   Although I've read that it can be used to help remove stains.   I only use it for my pool and the buckets store well in my pool house.

**Q: My recipe calls for cups.  How many cups of powder are in here as it is not the same as a liquid measure?**
A: It's a 1 gallon container so it should have 16 cups. I asked Alexa.

**Q: Can this soap be used in a HD washing machine?**
A: Yes, Pure Organic Ingredients' Natural Washing Soda is pure sodium carbonate and can be used in an HD washing machine.

**Q: How big are the sodium carbonate grains? Does this product dissolve quickly? I'm considering using this product to help increase the ph in my hottub.**
A: Very fine powder. It doesn’t leave any residue in wash loads.
