They are exactly as advertised -- a good starter kit. The surface is rougher than my metal hooks especially at the tip of the hooks where you can feel the bamboo fibers. However, I have never had bamboo hooks before so I can't say whether they are any different from other bamboo hooks. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Almost perfect *by A***Y on Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2019* You can't beat this set for the price. I do think I will have to smooth some slight burrs with sandpaper and give them a rub with some beeswax or the like. I gave 4 stars only because my smallest hook has no hook, only perhaps a small crack in the end. I'm assuming it bent up somehow during manufacturing and was not cut. This is not a big deal to me as I have never seen a Tunisian pattern that small yet and haven't a need for it. It really wasn't worth returning it. The length is good, maybe an inch longer than the aluminum ones already own. The case/roll is simply made, if you see it would be easy to make. Given the scarcity of Tunisian hooks at my local stores I am pleased with the set. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The backs of the hooks "can't" be removed *by J***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2019* I really like these hooks. They are lightweight and really pretty. The only thing I don't like is that the back ends doesn't come undone to connect an extender (unless I'm wrong). The little hold is a nice addition. It's a good size and holds the hooks comfortably, but I wish it came in other colors.
