But they do, and this after market lock for the Tiguan is an identical replica. You need a special star wrench to screw out the old one (why wouldn't VW use a common wrench? - got a single star that fit my ratchet set at an auto store). This after market lock seems to be just a good as the OEM VW lock, for a fraction of the cost.

I was irritated that the VW OEM lock stopped working in the first place. Seriously, why does a lock like this wear out ever? But they do, and this after market lock for the Tiguan is an identical replica. You need a special star wrench to screw out the old one (why wouldn't VW use a common wrench? - got a single star that fit my ratchet set at an auto store).
