Review: Good substitute sugar - I love the sugar-free monk fruit sweetener. It is very keto friendly. You can make desserts with it and it taste like you used real sugar. It feels and looks and pours like real white sugar. There is no bitter aftertaste. What I like about it is you can eat or drink something that’s made with the sugar, but it breaks down into your system so slow it does not raise your sugar levels. I highly recommend it. I’ve got a bag that I just opened tonight and started using.
Review: This favorite natural sweetener has become an essential product in my home. - I live in a very small town in northern Nevada where we only have 2 grocery stores so I love being able to get my favorite products from desertcart online and this is one that I'll be purchasing regularly. I hate using granulated sugar for anything and have come pretty close to completely eliminating it's use in my home. I was very excited when I was able to start buying some products made with Stevia sweetener and when I was able to just buy Stevia to use in drinks and for cooking, but I hate the aftertaste and always have to mix some kind of sweetener with the Stevia. When I tasted the Monk fruit sweetener for the first time, I was so very pleased because there was no aftertaste. In fact, I used the Monk fruit as the second sweetener with Stevia to decrease the aftertaste of the Stevia and it worked very well. This second package of Lakanto Monk Fruit Sweetener All Natural Sugar is even better than the first package. They have two different versions: Golden (the one that I bought) that is referred to as a brown sugar substitute and Classic White which is referred to as a white sugar substitute. Since I've used more brown sugar than white in recent years, I decided to get the Golden version and I will continue to order that since the taste is so delicious and light. It is great to have an all natural sweetener that can be used for anything I need to sweeten without adding any other type of sweetener. Because I've spent the last 5 years trying to sharply decrease the use of sugar, I have learned to use only about half of the suggested amount of sweetener in recipes, but I'm finding that items I'm making now with the Monk fruit sweetener are much better tasting than what I've been making. I also have NOT experienced any kind of GI upset since using the Monk fruit sweetener. I do know that some diabetic candies made with certain sweeteners (sugar alcohol?) can really upset your GI system, but I have had no problems with the Monk fruit. If I still had kids around that I was cooking and baking for, I'd be just as happy to use the Monk fruit, in fact, I'd be happier using this product rather than anything else. If you can cut out as much sugar as possible from anyone's diet, regardless of age, it will help improve their health and help them really enjoy the natural sweetness of fruit (when I was growing up, my mother had to sprinkle all food with either salt or sugar and it took awhile for me to break that habit when I left home). If you haven't tried this product, I would urge everyone to try it - especially if you are using any sugar substitutes that are not all natural or if you have diabetes and must eliminate sugar. Yes, it is more expensive than buying regular sugar, but what is the cost to your health from eating that? I consider the cost of the Monk fruit sweetener to be acceptable because it is a great substitute and so beneficial to my health.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love this stuff!
*by L***C on March 12, 2026*

This is my go to keto friendly sweetener. I've been using Lakanto gold for years, I love the taste of brown sugar and this is as close as I can get without using the real thing. I haven't had any GI issues with use. I've given a lot of friends and family baked goods using Lakanto gold as the sweetener; they have all been floored by how great everything tastes. I don't check my blood sugar as I'm not diabetic, but my mom is and using it hasn't raised her blood sugar. It's zero calories, and I get the 3 pound bag so I can bake to my hearts content. I use it cup for cup instead of sugar. It's definitely more expensive than sugar, but it's a great value if you're avoiding sugar. I highly recommend it.
