Im generally talking in outdoor environments and this microphone does well blocking out wind noise, however it does not just plug in and function. inevitably I will have to play around with the connection to the speaker until I find the "sweet spot" and it will begin broadcasting sound. I have tried with half a dozen other operational speakers and they have all had the same outcome, so I'm certain it is the ear hook connection and not a faulty speaker.
