By attaching this to a bookcase across the way, I have a way to glance up and see if she's there or has possibly wandered off to a more secluded "bathroom" of her own choosing. I can also tell if she's possibly chewing on something that she's not supposed to have. It's too small from 7 feet away to actually tell what she's got, but it's enough to provide a hint about whether I need to get up and check or I can see if she's just sleeping. This was just what we needed, and when the puppy is trained, I may find some other use for it.
