Two coats are recommended & I have to agree. Previously painted surfaces & cracks should be repaired & pressure washed or sanded prior to application of Ponds Armour for maximum adhesion. Like span of product will vary depending on location & climate. I used 7 gallons resealing a large concrete reservoir . It sealed all microcracks & I am very pleased.
