It's not met for long stretching exercises such as standing on one end and pulling on the other end with your hand. I believe it's met more for short stretching exercises. Such as putting it behind your back and with a hand on each end performing boxing exercises. This is what I use it for. I like it so well that I bought a second one. One for home and one to use in my boxing club. I haven't had no problem with cracking or braking. I was about to order a few more for the kids and adult boxing students but see that it's no longer available. This is a great idea and I hope the inventor make the necessary improvements that those of you with negative reviews suggested.
