Didn't lather up very well, but it did clean my hair. I purposely didn't use conditioner so I could see just how hydrating and nourishing this expensive shampoo really is. Pulling a comb through was challenging because my hair was tangled after rinsing. My regular shampoo doesn't do this even when I don't use conditioner. After blow drying, my hair had lost its soft feeling, and had a brittle feel to it. The shine and luster were gone. If you've ever had product build up stripped out of your hair, this is what it looked and felt like. A couple of times a year, I will strip my hair and apply a really good conditioner after. I will treat this as a strip and apply a good hair mask on my next wash. The price of such a small amount is way too much for a shampoo that doesn't do what it says it will do. There are other quality products on the market that offer more quantity for less money. For the record, I have medium length, layered brown hair that is well taken care of. Of course, I mainly use shampoos with oils in them. I have color treated fine hair and it needs help. I also live in Florida, so you know I have prime humidity and taming the frizzes needs all the help I can give it. I have used this shampoo and the conditioner and my hair feels great. I generally let it dry naturally. I like the scent of the shampoo and it does a nice job cleansing without stripping. Sure, the bottle could be better designed and a sealer put on the top of the bottle so it doesn't leak, but I still like it. I'm sure it is a quality shampoo and I love the ingredient list.
