It was even harder to find one with a subtle design, one that would work well with the color of the outdoor carpet covering the boards of my front porch, and one that I thought I could love. But I found it here in this UltraLux Entrance Mat!Size was the most important issue because, finally, I could no longer ignore (pretend it didn’t exist) a large stain that began 9” from my front door. Pattern was important to ensure a natural look since a great many mats are very position-specific. Too, I had meant to order this larger size a week or two earlier but, instead, somehow ordered a smaller one of the same pattern by the same manufacturer. I put the smaller one at the outside entrance onto the porch, just above the top step, and this larger one coming 71” out from the front door. I didn’t have to re-carpet the entire front porch; the only work I had to do was to slit the tape holding the shipping box closed.I was looking for a mat I would love, and, yes, I found it with this one — and its smaller version. The mats are of high quality and quite beautiful. I had intended to order the one with a length greater than 70” to cover a stained area in front of the front door. Receiving this one worked nicely, though, on the front of the porch above the top step. I’d had another there, fairly new and much loved by our outdoor cat, Jack; my only semi-worry was, of course, whether our spoiled little Jack would adapt easily to a new mat. Cats, I’ve now learned, are very mat-adaptable. He has yet to miss a day of his hours spent laying on it, large upright framing on both sides of him.
