I got this for her for Christmas '18 and she hasn't taken it off! I ordered some extra birthstones for about $6 because we have so many birthdays in September and April, but I was able to fit her three children, 5 grandkids and 2 great-grandkids in the locket.The chain is sturdy and best of all long enough for Mom to slip over her head without having to struggle with the clasp, something that gets difficult as we age! It's an attractive piece of jewelry that looks like I paid more than I did for it. My reason for only 4 stars is that the locket opens very easily and could pop open unintentionally. A sturdier fastener would be a great improvement. Of course, I bought those extra stones, so if she loses some I can replace them easily.
