## Questions & Answers

**Q: My blades have letters on them, but the directions calls them by numbers.  I’m confused. What is the conversion?**
A: The directions are incomplete.  No where does it give us ideas on which blade to use for Zucchini, or carrots or beets, etc.  This is not helpful for a beginner.  No information is provided on which blade should be used for any kinds of veggies.

**Q: Is there any noticeable difference in the spaghetti from different blades? They all look nearly the same to me in one customer review.**
A: There is a difference. One is spaghetti. Another is fettuccine. The third is Angel Hair. The difference between the Angel Hair and the other two is marked, but it would be easy to fail to notice a difference between the other two. The coarseness of what you're spiralizing may make the difference more noticeable, but is unlikely to affect taste or texture.

**Q: How do you access the e-cookbooks promised in the description?**
A: Is this what you are looking for?  http://spiralizer.us/freerecipes/  Their website is hard to find, but once you find it there is quite a bit of information there, including recipes and videos.

**Q: can I slice potatoes with this for scalloped potatoes?**
A: Yes, of course!  Just before placing the potato in the device, cut a slit nearly half way into it, all the way down, lengthwise.  This way when you use the ribbon blade (single straight blade) at each full turn you end up with a single slice.  Alternative, you can spiralize the potato using the ribbon blade, then collapse the ribbon strip(s) into a stack and use a knife to cut half way in, all the way down.  This will accomplish the same thing, giving you perfect potato slices for making a dish of scalloped potatoes.

     Update:  Okay, so I'm a ding ding. I did not see the plastic on the blade. After I removed the plastic this thing works great. As you can see from my video it was easy even doing it one-handed holding my phone to record the video. When in actual use if you use both hands your zoodles come out great. They weren't too bad even one-handed. I'm really going to get a lot of use out of this thing.Original review: I was so excited to receive this thing today. First thing I did was grab some small yellow squash and zucchini. I washed them up and chopped the ends off. I cleaned the blade I wanted which was the spaghetti blade. Now we're ready to go so I thought. This thing does not work. I tried the spaghetti and the linguine blades. All it does is spin around in a circle and make a mess. It mangled my zucchini. The blades are not sharp enough to cut into a soft zucchini. This particular brand is supposed to be the original, the best! It also comes with 10 different types of cutting blades but what's the point of having 10 blades if none of them work? I have posted a video and some photos so you can see what it did to my poor zucchini. It ground it up as it was going through and didn't even make very many zoodles. I am extremely disappointed. This thing is being returned and I'm going with a Brieftons. It's about 2 or 3 times the cost but from what I can see from other's videos I think it will work. This one, as you can tell from my video, does not work at all. This is not a complicated task. My experience with this machine was an absolute failure.
