No microwave, will help it replicate that NY at Christmas, cooked over charcoal, taste and smell. {Yes, I know you can find them, at ball and football games. Just not the same memories.} It's soft, chewy inside and has that perfect crust bite to it. The outer crust is perfectly browned. These are the "old fashioned" pretzels from your childhood.
