## Description

This new type Biopellets is specifically formulated for temperate and coldwater aquariums. Aside from strong phosphate, and nitrate removal, this new media attracts a thriving de-nitrification bacterial population at temperatures below 10°C (50°F), hence allowing for unhindered biological filtration. Our biopellets are more porous, providing up to 100 times more surface areas in every single pellet, allowing for more bacterial growth in each pellet. ReefApex BioPellets are made of high purity ingredients to ensure 100% safety to tank inhabitants. Capable of stabilizing phosphate level to below 0.05ppm, and bringing nitrate and nitrate down to undetectable levels within four weeks of usage, the benefits are clear: Reduce cycling time of coldwater tanks to weeks instead of months One single reactor to deal with NO3 and PO4 Less frequent water changes Higher feeding regime Healthier and happier tank inhabitants Dosage: For every 100 litres of aquarium water, use 150ml of ReefApex BioPellets for Coldwater Aquarium. Replenish as needed every 3-6 months as bacteria consume biopellets over time. The frequency of replenishment is primarily dependent on bio-load and feeding regime. Equipment: Use a fluidized reactor that can hold at least as much as 2 times the volume of the total dosage of biopellets so there is room for gentle tumbling. The feed pump should be able to generate a flow rate equal to 2 to 3 times the size of your tank, i.e., for a 500-litre (130-gallon tank), adjust the pump flow rate of 1000-1500L/h. It is recommended to have a foam filter in front of the feed pump to keep solids from entering the reactor. Protein Skimmer: Water flowing out of the biopellet reactor should enter a protein skimmer to remove excess biofilms.
