I might upgrade them to something fancier when I have more money to invest in refurbishing a used bike, but for now these get the job done, match the black and red paint of the bike perfectly and are easy to install. Forewarning, some bikes including handlebars including the bontrager isozone on the trek I am refurbishing don't have a classic circle end cap and end in a triangle cap so the end caps that came with these handlebars didn't work for the bike I was working on. However, I was able to use the caps of old handlebars I was replacing alongside these handlebars and the lock rings with no compatibility issues. For the price, 5/5. I'm glad I didn't pay the extra to upgrade the end caps though, as they wouldn't have worked with the isozone handlebars. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Locking grips are comfortable enough *by T***D on April 23, 2024* Bought specifically because they are locking grips that have the ergonomic protrusions for comfort with the heel of the hands. So far, they are working well on the straight handlebar on my mountain bike, and haven't shifted after riding for 40 miles in urban terrain. I recommend using a torque wrench to make sure you don't over torque these, as 6 newton meters is about right. One are that could use some improvement, and the person who buys these may need to do, is to smooth down the ends of the screws so that when they just barely surface from the otherside of the aluminum mounting brackets, so that the edges do not scratch or cut your hands. I haven't had to do this yet, but after catching my skin a couple times already, I can see I will likely need to do this soon. But for $7, I think this is an acceptable level of maintenance that the owner may need to dedicate to make these into really good grips. While these grips aren't the lazy-boy recliners of grip comfort, but for that price, I find this to be more than reasonable.
