It has been a long road while searching for the best night cream for my face. I wanted something really rich and dense with natural ingredients, (meaning NO petrolatum/mineral oil or preservatives), that absorbs well into my skin so that my face feels smooth and fully moisturized when I wake up in the morning. Well, I found it in this! In fact, I skipped over it a few times because of the very low price, mistakenly thinking it could not possibly be all that great if it costs less than $50. My last favorite nightime skin cream was Skin Nanny by LUSH at about $50, but they discontinued it, aargh. This one is every bit as good, maybe better, at a fraction of the price.I recommend it especially for women 40-45 and older because it is intensely moisturizing, and on much younger skin it might be overwhelming unless skin in very dry. It has caused me no breakouts or allergic reactions and I am sure this is due in part to the rose-petal infusion which soothes and calms senstive, irritated skin. If you want to step it up a notch you can use argan oil, tamanu oil and/or rosehip oil underneath it as I do for gorgeous, dewy "elastic" skin. I have not suffered a day's dry skin since using it, and my face feels a bit firmer and lifted. I say "a bit" - you won't look like you've had a face lift but you will look fresher and brighter! The texture of my skin is much improved now.The scent is rather old-fashioned, like the cold creams female relatives used in the 1950's and 1960's. I like it well enough, not wild about it but it is not offensive at all. I sincerely hope this small company who has produced this extremely efficient product keeps on producing it, as I am a lifetime customer now. Propolis is "bee spit" for lack of a better term, this is what bees seal the hive with to keep contagions out. It has amazing antibiotic, antimicrobial, antifungal-tons of other benefits. Since the Texas drought continues, my skin has been so dry it burns. No amount of shea butter, aloe, etc has made any significant difference. Since I use propolis for all my animals, I decided to use it on myself. Initially it feels a tiny bit sticky but that feeling is gone in seconds. I've been using this for a few days n my skin is no longer burning.
