I always wash everything before using and I didn't even inspect the seams, I just put it in the washer. When I went to put it on my bed I found that the seams at 2 of the corners were not properly sewn together; the stitching did not hold the two sides of material together and there was a huge hole in the seam at both corners. At this point I couldn't see returning it; I may have if I hadn't already washed the sheet. Luckily I have a sewing machine and I just fixed the problem; but I didn't need the aggravation. And it barely fit my mattress even-though my mattress is only 6 inches high.
