Review: Beautifully detailed little foal! - I love the Schleich animal figurines! They may cost a bit more, but their craftsmanship is definitely superior to the others I've purchased. They look very realistic, and not cartoonish or poorly painted. I've read other reviewers mention that after being played with, the paint sometimes rubs off in places. Since I put mine in miniature fairy gardens. When I receive them I spray them with a coat of clear fixative or even a clear coat of enamale paint. By doing this I have ever had that issue, even when used in wet environments. **I would NOT however, apply it, if used as toys by children who may put them in their mouths!

I love the Schleich animal figurines! They may cost a bit more, but their craftsmanship is definitely superior to the others I've purchased.
