This should be stated!** A: Diappointed.... someone answered that they were made in America.... NOPE. Just received the package and it reads "MADE IN CHINA".... So much for believing other peoples' answers **Q: It says thick. if i press a shiny usa quarter on the back side, does the shine show through or not? thank you.** A: You will not see the shine, unless things have changed. Mine are pretty sturdy and good weight cloth. I have had them for quite a while and have been washed many times. Wearing very well. **Q: Are these made from the material flannel?** A: I don't know the answer for sure but I do not think they are flanner. They are not that thick. I think they are just good quality high thread count cotton. However I can state unequivocally that these handkerchiefs are soft, comfortable, absorbent and last. They launder very well. I have ordered them 2 times. They are thicker than the El Cheapos you find in retail stores. However they are not so thick that they are hard to use. I ordered some that I think were flannel a few years ago and they were too thick to use for blowing your nose an too difficult. I used them for other purposes, primarily as a pad for hot dishes. The ones you are asking about from Zenissia are great. They remind me of the handkerchiefs you could buy in this Country 50 - 75 years ago except they are nicely colored. **Q: where are these made?** A: I didn't see any tag giving that information. I just know they are very absorbent, soft (easy on the nose) and a good size to last all day. They are good quality and the colors are fast (don't bleed in the wash). This is a nice flannel and the photos just do not do them justice. Imagine your favorite well worn fuzzy soft flannel pillowcase or PJ's, that is the kind of soft and durable you will find with these hankies. Other kinds might be nice for decoration, but this is what you want to be kind to your nose! I also like to reserve a few new ones to give them as gifts by using them to wrap small gifts for a gentleman or lady furoshiki style. They are not too bulky in your pocket and with a few washings and a good pressing they are good to go for years to come as they start out very soft and just improve with laundering and use. If you have not iron, you may take them out of the wash damp and simply take a moment to stretch them out flat and even and then hang them on a hanger to air dry so they are not wrinkly. They are also really pretty! I've been using them for a few months now and the teeny tiny roll hems have come undone in some spots to leave little strings. As I don't think the fabric could stand up to much darning, I just snip the wayward threads off and it's fine. They aren't particularly wrinkly, if anyone was wondering.
