The quality is a solid, heavier cotton so it's not thin and cheap feeling. The size is perfect. No need to get altered. It is a stiff cotton so of course it was very wrinkled so I'll take to the cleaners for pressing. Keep this in mind when traveling. You will need to iron or else have lots of wrinkles. The length is good for my 5'2" height. I like that there is space for my name to be embroidered on it. Good amount of pockets. While everyone else in my class are wearing frumpy looking coats that are cheaply made, I’m walking in what looks like a professional quality coat. It makes you feel and look more professional. Love the deep pockets and the material is thick and high quality. It’s a little on the long side, I’m 5’5”, but that’s not a major issue. I could always get it hemmed. I first ordered a medium but that was too big on me, everywhere.
