Review: Not hot enough - I got this used and so maybe this was why it doesn't perform as well as I thought it would. I'm a photo teacher and I use this for students to dry mount photos. It does not get hot enough. It is a lukewarm tacking iron. It just "kind of" works for what I need. I have been disappointed with most tacking irons as they rarely are hot enough. I have an old one (that is the same model as this one) that gets plenty hot and I keep repairing it to keep it alive. I'll try buying a new one at some point to see if that makes a difference.

I got this used and so maybe this was why it doesn't perform as well as I thought it would. I'm a photo teacher and I use this for students to dry mount photos. It does not get hot enough. I was looking for one with where you could select low - medium - high, so it was an okay.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ heat control loses its sensitivity after continued use

Maybe its because we use these tacking irons a lot in our studio, but it seems that the heat controller does not last. Its too bad they cannot be repaired, because we now have a drawer full of tacking irons with faulty heat controls. It is a shame what has happened to the quality and reliability of these American-made products.
