It is lightweight and breathable. And really, it is cute. I have washed it several times. It has held up well in the wash. I have not tried to dry it. With this type of material, I worry it will shrink or re-shape it. I hang it to dry instead, which really doesn't take all that long. I was disappointed because I wanted a flowy tank and it is definitely not flowy. It is loose fitting but not what I was looking for. I wanted to hide my stomach and this top does not allow me to do that. I even purchased a size larger than I usually get in hopes that it would be more loose and flowy. Overall, it's a nice top.
