It fits very well. I think it will insulate well too. I will update if it doesn't. (September 26, 2019)Update: the suction cups don't hold very well long term. On a hot day, 90° or more, the heat on the suction cups makes them too pliable to hold onto the windshield and they fall off. If the cups manage to hold, the weight of the shade bar is literally bending the holding shaft on the suction cup (see photo) so the shade falls off the suction cup almost daily. It works great when it works, but when it falls it's rendered useless. I put my sun visors down and that seems to hold it better.
