As someone who actually knows what it is and how to use it, I found that it has helped with postural support as it is supposed to. It is a bit wide for me, but I really just bought it for days when my other one is in the wash or my upper body harness is in the wash. I fish and hunt, so sometimes they're both in the wash at the same time, and this one makes a quick and easy go to for a relatively small amount of money. But for a cognitively intact person, this works very well. if I want to get super fancy about it, I've cut little holes under my armpit where it would naturally come out in all of my shirts so that I don't have a huge belt across my chest.
