I use Canon DSLR equipment and these work great with all the DSLR models I have an have used. On the bottom of the plate, there is a little thing with a small handle that flips up and can be used to tighten the plate to the bottom of the camera. With this little handle thing there is no need to to make sure you have a coin to tighten the plate.Overall, this is a solid plate.
