So far so good, they came well packaged, I used several and then re-sealed them in a vacuum bag for use later. 03-03-2013 Update I tested one of these packets to see how much they would absorb. I took a generic sandwich baggie (sandwich not pint quart or other) and fully inflated it and put the oxygen absorber in it. After about 5 days it had consumed almost all of the oxygen in the baggie and there was only a minimal amount of air in the bag.
