The product is heavy and seems as though it could withstand a beating. It's actually thicker than the OEM weathertech liners I purchased with my vehicle. The product came folded in half but laid flat pretty quickly on it's own (I'd suggest walking on it on a flat surface or laying something heavy on the crease to smooth it out faster). The sides and edges also curve and create about a quarter or half an inch lip to contain spills. There is a teeny tiny gap at the bottom 2 corners but it really is negligible.
