This was a gift for a friend. He absolutely raves about the Left Behind series. He says you can't put it down once you start reading it.

Hi,here's my review!Ok,First of all,I'm NOT one of those people who give this book good reviews because I'm hooked on the series,I actually have something to say!I will admit that I agree that these books may be easy to read,but that does not make the story less exiting!This 4 book package contains these books:1. Left behind- The Tale of the Earths Last Days.2. Tribulation Force- The Continuing Drama of those Left Behind.3. Nicolae- The Rise of the Anti-Christ...4.Soul Harvest- The World takes sides...In the first book,Left Behind,you start out with Captain Rayford Steele,And He had it pretty good,A wife, 2 kids, Nice House in the Chicago Suburbs... Then his wife started going to church and dragging him with her!Now She and their 12 year-old boy are totally into this Church thing,and Ray ford doesn't like it.He uses his job as an excuse and starts trying to date Flight Attendant Hattie Durham.That's when his life falls apart... In one instant Millions around the world Disapear,Leaving only their Clothes behind... Rayford has to get back home, he has know if his Family is safe, or not...Another Character is 30 year-old Journalist Cameron "Buck" Williams, Who is one of the best reporters for the "Global Weekly." Buck is on his way to London, England when IT happens, Now He's stranded back in Chicago, With Nowhere to go,and no Answers.....There are a bunch more key Characters, but I will only Mention One more, Nicolae Carpathia... Nicolae Is a young politician from Romainia,who's suddenly been getting a lot of attenion,By the end of book one he's litterlally got the entire UN at his feet... Oh, and there's one other thing, some people believe that he's the Anti-Christ...Ok, That should kinda give you an idea what's going on in Book one,But I can't tell you what happen's in the next 3 books,or who's alive...Well, I hope you liked my review, oh and by the way, I was 9 when I read the first book.Hoped this helped you!

Authors Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins use mood effectively in Left Behind. Mood is a very important aspect of this story. Without the proper use of mood, the climax would not be as powerful as it is. Without the effective use of mood, the story would not be worth reading. Throughout the story, the general mood is fearful and uncertain. People do not know where to turn or even what has happened. People are afraid that they missed the coming of Christ and that they have been rejected and left for dead. But still there is a ray of light. Rayford Steele has come to know what has happened. So, through the fear and uncertainty, the mood hints toward hope. As the reader moves toward the end, the fear in the mood really begins to show itself. Rayford and Chloe Steele, Rayford's daughter, become fearful of Nicolae Carpathia. They believe he is secretly trying to take over the world. The mood is now starting to show confusion. Rayford, Chloe, and Cameron Williams, a.k.a. Buck, are not sure what exactly Carpathia is trying to do. They are not sure whether he is just a good businessman and people are putting him in positions of world power, or worse. The climax of the story is when Buck reveals that the true mood is fear. Buck is invited to a press conference with Carpathia. At the conference, Carpathia shoots a man and brain wipes everyone who saw it, making them believe that the man shot himself, thus revealing the true fear among those who suspected Carpathia to attempt to conquer the world. The ray of light lives on though. Rayford, Chloe, Buck, and Bruce Barnes, the minister at Rayford's church, have decide to create the Tribulation Force to try to keep Carpathia from becoming a world power. Thus the reader is left with a glimmer of hope, and the desire to start reading the next book in the series.

I loved the price. I normally don’t buy anything second hand , but this was really affordable and I can still donate it once I am done. Excellent condition. Thanks!!

Hands down this series is the only reason I enjoy reading to this day. Not only does it help with understanding the book of revelations (at least one way of interpreting it), it has an amazing story with characters you can get attached to and feel their pain and victories.

I was recommended these novels by a friend so I picked them up through Amazon at a great price. I was actually amazed at how good the story was and how well I could connect with the characters (which becomes a problem with the ongoing series). Highly recommend.

Once you start it, please continue through the whole series to get a literal view of the Book of Revelation.
