MYPLUS 12" Under Cabinet Lights Touch Activated Aluminum Light Bar

UPDATE: the company reached out with suggestions. The light can be plugged in at both end but the touch control only works if plugged into the end “marked” input - very hard to see unless you know it’s there. But now the light works perfectly. I’ve changed by rating to 5 AND am keeping the replacement. Outside of needing clearer direction, the lights are exactly what I hoped for. light has everything I wanted but it DOES NOT TURN off and in by touch. The size is good, the brightness is good but unless you want to plug and unplug to turn it off and on, don’t order. When my first one didn’t work correctly, I contacted Amazon and they sent another. Second works just the same. I’m debating if I should send both back. The light is so perfect over my desk, and I am easily within reach of the plug, but if just irritates me when things are not what’s advertised. Unfortunately there are multiple areas in our 5th wheel where I hoped to use these (over the desk was not top of the list) and I definitely will not order more.

The touch switch allows dimming or brightening. Nice white light. I used the two sided adhesive strips to attach the light under a shelf in my living room displaying photos on the shelf below. Classy looking.

It is bright. Installation is easy. What I most liked is that, the Light itself is it's ON/OFF switch. I was satisfied with it, so I ordered one for my daughter in Colorado Spring. also.

Follow the directions and it will work like a charm. doesn't seem to work unless completely mounted thought it was defective. Needs to be activated a certain way. once you get the hang of it turns on and off effortlessly. Do not rush to judge if it isn't working trust me you simply haven't figured it out yet only takes minutes to get the hang of.

Hello everyone! I just received this product today and have successfully installed it. A couple bits to note, after reading other comments: -ISSUE WITH LIGHT STAYING ON - SOLVED! - THE REASON FOR ONLY (3) STARS AND NOT (5) STARS: The FAQ on this product description says that you have to plug the power cable into the INPUT side of the light. If you plug it into the OUTPUT side of the light, the light will stay on and touch function won't work. What I found was the exact opposite. Not sure if the manufacturers assembled this product wrong, but when I plugged in my light, with power cable in the INPUT side, the light stayed on and the touch function did not work. Once I plugged the power cable into the OUTPUT side, the light functioned as advertised. So if any of you are experiencing this issue, just try the OUTPUT plug and see if that helps. -EASY & SOLID MOUNTING: While I'm here, I should mention that the mounting was incredibly easy. There are two metal brackets which the light clicks into. The brackets adhere with (2) 3M sticky foam tabs and two small screws. I see some people saying that the tape isn't strong enough and that their lights are falling off. You need to use the screw in addition to the sticky tape. Added bonus, the vendor does include a small screwdriver and metal push needle (to give the screw a small enough hole to screw into with ease). Both were very welcomed and added to the convenience of installation. You shouldn't need to use any of your home tools at all. And there ya go! As mentioned, I just installed this today. Am liking its low profile. Will update should anything break unexpectedly!

Really like the light coz is very bright. I got the black with white light, it brighten my under the cabinets sink so doing dish is a lot easier. But there’s 2 problem I have, one is that I’m not able to connect a second light into the same outlet. In order for me to install a another light I have to plug another bulky little charger into the already overflow outlet. Another problem is the touch to turn on and off feature doesn’t work all the time. If I have gloves on the light will not turn on, if my finger is wet or too cold the light will not turn on either. So far I haven’t really find the right spot to turn the light on all the time. It’s takes few tapping around until I get it on. But maybe I will get a hand of it soon.

Unit comes with a cheap set of an awl and tiny screwdriver for the tiny screws. Throw them away! In real wood the awl made a dent to start the screws, but had to get a real screwdriver to install it. It was not easy under cabinet due to short and dull screws and the way it mounts. But once mounted it was real bright and suits the purpose perfectly, just the right amount of light I was looking for. BUT, the touch on-off deal is terrible, simply a real pain. It may work, it may not. I have fought it for 5 mins trying to get it to turn on or off. A simple cord switch would be better. I have had touch lamps before and all you do is actually touch it. Good luck with this doing it. Never happened that way for this light. I have to leave my fingers on it for 10 to 30 seconds, just doing nothing and wasting time, then it might come on. Wish I would have bought something else, real pain to operate. I will most likely purchase a better item and throw this junk away.

My mother wanted something to make her apartment kitchen brighter. Being an apartment, I needed something that could be easily removed, but something that wouldn’t look too tacky or temporary, and these fit the bill perfectly! Like everything on Amazon, I read the reviews and was scared by some of the reviews that claim the lights wouldn’t turn on/off, but so far, these work like a charm. You lightly touch anywhere on the frame and they turn on and off as advertised. In a perfect world, I wish these were a tad brighter, but for the money, I’m totally happy with these. Installing three of these lights took less than 5 minutes using everything supplied with the lights, and a few spare wire clips I had laying around.
