Manufacturing too sloppy
UPDATE: When these brushes are manufactured correctly, they're great, but having purchased them many times at this point, I just can't recommend them anymore after receiving many unusable or quickly exploding (!) pairs. As a professional who uses brushes constantly, I'm tired of paying a huge premium for the mainstream brands' brushes only to end up with expensive trash when they quickly fail. These WeiMeet brushes are much better, for a much smaller cost, it's really incredible. They're certainly no-frills, basic brushes. The pull rods are much thicker and heavier duty than most "traditional" brushes from the main brands, however, and the sliding action is butter-smooth. Unlike most Ludwig models, the rod doesn't click around loosely inside the shaft. The rubber used on the handles is also much thicker than competing traditional brushes. The wires are medium gauge and work in a variety of contexts; they hang out past the end of the rubber handle about 3/4" when fully retracted, but they're still well protected from bending in a stuffed stickbag. If these last a while for me (I'll update this review after a few months), I've found my go-to brand.UPDATE: These brushes are the heartiest traditional-style brushes I’ve come across! Their thick rubber has withstood a lot of impacts, even on relatively sharp rim and cymbal edges, with no notable signs of wear. They also still slide smoothly in and out with no sticking even after much play time. I’m really struck by how these cheap no-name brushes have bested my much pricier purchases from Regal Tip, Zildjian, Ludwig, etc. I only have the one pair, so maybe they’re not manufactured consistently, but barring that possibility, these are the brushes of choice for me!

Ok brushes
My drum set one of them broke the metal rod pulled right out and wouldn’t go back in

Brush comparison.... spend a little more for quality...
In the accompanying pics you see a pair of Steve Gadd brushes on the left, Zildjian brushes on the right, and these brushes in the middle. Right out of the bag I was disappointed in the low quality of the build of these brushes. Check the uneven tips, and see the bent uneven splay as they are extended. The bag they come in is the best part. (And why do so many cheap Amazon products come in fancy bags???)On the plus side they don't sound disastrous playing. Sweeps sound OK but straight hits and shots lack attack and focus due to the poor construction and thin gauge wire. I wouldn't gig on these, and I would recommend spending an extra $10 for a beginner to get a quality pair of brushes to learn on.I guess I will keep them in the back of my stick bag in case I ever lose one of my good brushes.

Work Great, Smells Bad
These brushes work perfectly for and seem well made, however the "rubbery" handles have a strong off-gassing smell that actually lingers on my hands after playing unless I wash it off. Not sure if this smell will go away with time or not.

Better than expected
Wasn't expecting too much out of these due to the cheaper price but I needed to get a new pair for a weekend gig, they surpassed my expectations, well worth the money. Held up to a beating without much effort or noticeable wear after ten 45 minute sets of music. They don't quite retract all the way into the handles but that's a small price to pay for these brushes, would buy again!

Percussion instructor here to say, dont buy the expensive kind- these are more than sufficient
Value for money is incredible. They are half the price as the "name brand' and they will last at least 90% as long- but probably longer. dont bother paying for the "name brnad" waste of money. These are great.
