Solid Product
This pump has been a great addition to my fish tank. It's quiet, easy to install, and provides a strong, steady water flow. It has been running reliably, and I like that the flow can be adjusted when needed. Overall, it's a solid value and works exactly as expected.

It's perfect!
I've got a weird situation so I was asking a lot out of this little pump. I put together an 8 foot moss pole for my pothos. Now I live in Arizona and there's no way I'm clambering up a ladder twice a day to water my moss, so I had to come up with a more permanent solution. I ran a hose through the bottom of the planter and up through the moss to the top, bent the end of the hose 180 degrees, slit the underside of the curve, then packed in the sphagnum. The pot is elevated on a concrete deck block so it's not sitting directly in a tub of water. Everything relied on the performance of this little pump. And it works! It works beautifully! Right now the pothos is small so I've got about five foot of moss not doing anything. I've been tucking cuttings in there as I make them and they're rooting faster than ever. And they're big, fat soil roots, not thin water roots. Installation was a bit tricky because the hose I got that's supposed to match the pump was too small for the smallest attachment. I had to use a heat gun to fit it on. The fitting was the size of the hose exactly. But maybe the narrower hose is giving me the 8ft lift. When you add up the cinderblock and the pot itself, this pump is pushing water up exactly eight foot and it's set almost as low as it can go. It's not a tiny trickle, either. It's a continuous, gentle stream. I have no idea what the pump can do if set on max because I don't want to risk a fountain of water hitting the ceiling of my study. But all you have to do is twist the lever in the front, so adjustment is easy. It's set on a timer, so the pump is experiencing the stress of frequent off/on cycles and so far, it's not complaining. I'm not going to rate it on filtration because it's really only able to filter enough to protect itself. For that, it works fine. I think that any fish that's larger than a fry would be okay. And it's quiet! All I hear is a hum and if a fan is on I can't hear it at all. I've got enough room in the tub for another small plant setup, so that's next on the list. I'll definitely be buying this brand again.

Quiet, Powerful Pump That Works Great
I’m very happy with this VIVOSUN submersible pump. It has great water flow, runs quietly, and works exactly as expected. The pump is compact but still provides plenty of power, and the different nozzle options make it easy to adjust for different setups. The included power cord length is convenient, and the pump feels well made. It was easy to install and has worked great for keeping water moving. I also like that it can be used for multiple applications like ponds, aquariums, fountains, or hydroponic setups.

A Solid Pump That Does Its Job
The VIVOSUN 800GPH Submersible Pump works just fine. It’s easy to set up, runs quietly, and moves water exactly the way it’s supposed to. The flow is steady, the build feels sturdy, and it’s been reliable for daily use. Nothing fancy, nothing complicated—just a dependable pump that performs as advertised. If you need a straightforward, no‑nonsense pump that gets the job done without any issues, this one fits the bill.

High quality coupled with low power consumption
Your search is over. This little pump has proven itself to me for years. It is a workhorse and delivers the 800 gph with very good lift as well. I have used these pumps on multiple occasions over the years. One additional great attribute is that it does what it says and it does it for a mere 25 watts per hour(it pays to compare) Most other similar pumps consume much more electricity. Here in Hawaii electricity cost about 50 cents for one kilowatt. (1000 watts). This is a very important money-wise consideration. Do the math. Over time you will find your electric savings impressive. A high quality great little submersible pump with adjustable flow.

Pumps Pumps
Seems to be working just fine for my pond I expect 2.6 ponds per hour refresh rate which will be more than sufficient for my 3 lucky carp. It's only been running for a few hours so difficult to decipher it's durability. I can't even hear it running over the babble of the fountain so it definitely is quiet operations. If this operates through the winter and keeps my fish alive I'll consider it a deal at this price.

Cheap pump
Pump moves a lot of water. Puts off a lot of heat. Raised my 15 gallon rodi tank 12 degrees. Suction cups fall off had to hot glue them in place. Back cover falls off had to glue it back on. Flow adjustable and has very weak detent, So I just removed that . It's a good mixing pump or emergency pump. Wouldn't recommend for long-term use. For the money it is a good for mixing my salt water quickly.

Looks the same, but *seriously* outperforms some of the lookalikes.
Sound level is very good for a pump of this flow. I bought it to use in a Low-Pressure Aeroponics setup - emphasis on learning about LPA without breaking the bank. The outside casing makes it look like about 50 other water pumps carrying various names at similar price points and advertised flow rates, but it puts out more than twice the water of a nearly identical-looking 640GPH pump, and my misting heads can be tightened enough to produce very fine mist without stopping the flow altogether. This little 800GPH pump is likely a little less powerful than it claims, as the lift height is stated at 10', and at 6' the water flow is quite restricted. But for a small, cheap "testing" setup, it works great even with 10 misting heads on 1/4" PEC irrigation tubing. The fittings seat and seal well on the pump outlet, and a spare suction cup is included in the box. Also of interest, the noise level is actually lower than my 640GPH pump. Wattage is as specified, with very occasional increase/decrease, and connecting it to my 1500VA/900W UPS system barely increases the load, dropping the 450-minute "unloaded" reserve capacity by just 12 minutes. Running only this pump on it I would have more than 7 hours of water flow if the power goes out. The pump itself is about twice the size of the 640GPH, and more than twice the weight. Mounting it to the side of a reservoir requires an absolute minimum water depth of 5.5", and with a "Y" splitter in the outlet for balanced pressure in a looped irrigation setup I recommend placing one of the nipples on the pump outlet and using tubing to connect the splitter so you can lay the splitter flat in your reservoir and place the pump upright on the bottom as there are water intakes that must both be submerged on both ends of the pump. Using 1/4" irrigation tubing without a cap and free-flowing, the inlet flow control at the front makes no noticeable difference in the amount of water flow, so if precision flow is required you'll need inline valves, but for my setup, adjusting the misting heads is enough. So far, I'm quite impressed with this little guy, and no longer worried about finding my plants dead from lack of hydration or nutrients. If it lasts awhile, this will have been a great buy - one I highly recommend for smaller LPA hydroponics setups or even a 3-bucket tower or up to 10-bucket Dutch Bucket system. At this price point, I can keep a couple of these on the shelf in case of failure, and if they last 6 months or more in use, they'll be well worth the cost.

A powerful and well priced little pump !
So far, so good! Bought this to replace the very old one that finally gave up its ghost that I use in my water fountain feature. Easy to set up and it pushes the water up through the hose with ease. Great price considering I paid double for my former one. Would recommend !
