Hard to drink plain
This is my first experience with Wu Long tea of any kind. I have to admit, it's quite bitter and hard/almost impossible for me to drink without adding tons of liquid stevia. I even tried mixing it with my Lipton mixed berries green tea that I love, to no avail. Finally, I decided to add vanilla flavored almond milk and stevia. It's more of a dessert drink now that I actually ENJOY drinking. After a few days now of drinking it, I can tell that it decreases my appetite and the scale may have been lying, but it was two pounds lighter today than it was 3 days ago, so overall, 4-5 days into drinking this tea, I'm happy with it. Just as a side note though, I'm not sitting on the couch eating bon bons as I drink this and losing weight. I'm a very healthy eater (green smoothies, raw nuts & veggies, fresh fruit, lean meat, etc., who exercises light to moderately).

I like it.
I like it...i'd probably buy it again. It really does curb my appetite a little bit, i feel it works better on a full stomach though (eat first and have tea after)..that way you'll stay full longer. Other than that, I drink on average 2-3 cups per day, taste a lot better with some sugar in it, it's more enjoyable that way. But, overall, I like it alot. And, it doesn't taste bitter to me no matter how long I leave the tea bag for. For best results, make sure the water is really hot, actually, it doesn't even have to be boiling water like the instructions suggest. I'm still not sure what to expect with this tea but the main reason I ordered Oolong tea is for the weight loss, appetite suppressant benefits and yes, I'll take any other benefits this tea has to offer.

Great Daily Tea!
The tea came in a very timely manner, just a few days. So that was very nice. The price was great too. Our local store sells a box of 20 for $15, here we got 100 for $10! Since both my husband and I are very fond of this type of tea, and have to keep the budget tight, that was awesome! The tea itself was, at first, milder than the other tea I was used to. However, the flavor increased dramatically when I poured hotter water over it and actually let it sit for 3-5 mins before drinking. Hot water seems to definitely be key. I usually use warm water so I can drink my tea right away. Patience is a virtue with this tea however, and you will acquire a stronger better flavored tea if you are patient. I've been enjoying this tea for so long now in this fashion, that I'm not entirely sure if the other tea is stronger anymore. And since I'm not sure, it's obviously not enough of a difference to matter to me. Like most oolong teas, the tea will acquire a slightly bitter taste if left too long. I personally don't mind it, even enjoy it, but I know some people don't. This tea is like others in that regard. An added bonus of oolong tea, and this one included, is the increased metabolic rate you get. I generally drink my tea in either a standard mug, or by putting it in my 20oz water bottle for work (make no mistake, 1 bag of tea is plenty even for 20 oz!). Yes, I have felt the increase in metabolism. It works best on a mostly empty or only lightly filled stomach. I find I get quite warm through out my entire body about 20mins after drinking it, similar to how you feel after a good warm up before working out (the kind that leaves you feeling like your own mini-furnace!). A fuller stomach will make you feel the effect less, but I still retain a pleasantly warm sensation throughout my body. Since I have only just restarted my workouts for the year, I can't tell you if this tea has had any effect on my effort to get back in shape. However, the increase in metabolism is always good and every little bit in that area helps! I enjoy this tea mainly at the beginning of my day. I find both green a dark teas to be a bit too strong for my liking at 5:30am. This one fits the bill nicely. When this round of tea runs out, I do plan to purchase this tea again!

Effective tea but side effects are too much for me to continue drinking.
To start off, I have to say that I love tea. I'm basically a tea junkie- green tea, black tea, red tea, pink tea, whatever it may be, if it's tea, I'll try it. I initially decided to try out this natural tea to help aid me in losing some weight and to also cut back on my appetite. While I do have to admit that it did cut my appetite quite well, the side effects were way too much for me to continue drinking this tea. My routine for a good week had been a cup of tea in the morning and after waiting about 10 minutes, I would either eat some yogurt or some fresh fruit. For lunch, I would drink a cup and then wait at least 10 minutes before I ate my lunch. For dinner, I would skip the tea entirely and just cut back on my portions. At first, I felt an extreme amount of energy however, after about the third day, I started to get jittery and I wouldn't be able to sleep at night (even though I had drank the tea over 6 hrs ago!). I would get anxiety attacks and I could just feel my heart beating twice as fast. I have since stopped drinking the tea and everything seems to be going back to normal. I didn't mind the taste of the tea, although it is a little bit on the bitter side. I will not be drinking this tea anymore and am trying to figure out what to do with over 80 bags of tea left..
