ANGELS: What a lovely title to an inspiring book.It is, as the title suggests all about Angels,but it is factual and not fanciful.The author is a trained Nurse,and now works parts time as a Macmillan nurse caring for the terminally ill.She is married to an Anglican Vicar.They lived for some years in Rwanda,working as missionaries.Angels are with us everywhere,and usually unseen,although many times in life we are helped by Angels unknowingly,and possibly entertained Angels unknowingly and we are reminded of this fact by St Paul.Many people have seen Angels and the author (Hope Price) lists dozens and dozens of cases. The concurrence of their visual appearance seems to be that they are indeed tall and very strong.The author also writes about the countless witnesses who have heard beautiful singing from these armies of choirs of Angels.I can verify this fact as once my husband and myself were walking around an ancient Church on a quiet July evening,when we heard the most beautiful singing coming from inside the Church.The Vicar was walking on the same pathway as we were and we told him how much we enjoyed the singing a few minutes earlier.The Vicar looked shocked and told us that the Church was empty and locked,and he seemed flustered by our statement,and walking on he went into the Church.However since that time,we have read of others who also say they heard beautiful singing from that same Church.We are in no doubt that it was Angels.I have come to the conclusion that cynics cannot be true Christians,or followers of Christ.Christians should have the love of Jesus Christ in their hearts and in their minds.This World as it is now is overrun by the antichrist,that is Satan and his army of demonic legions,or fallen angels.Evil is around us in many forms,and we need the love of Christ and His Angels to repel these evil forces.This again is not fanciful but fact.Angels is a wonderful book of hope,and the author is aptly named as Hope.It will inspire and encourage readers,as it has done myself.Here is a case of a lady with Christ in her heart,and by writing this book she reaches out to so many of us who may be faltering through so many reasons,and just need that little bit of courage to carry on once more.This is a beautiful book to be treasured.

This is a clearly-written account of numerous experiences of angels that various people have had.. Hope Price makes it clear that we should not pray to angels, but when we pray to God angels are often sent to answer our prayers, particularly delivering us from moments of extreme danger. Those who have actually seen them recount that they can be seen in various guises: huge and awe-inspiring with wings and drawn swords; smaller and dressed in military uniform; or taking on the appearance of humans. These accounts certainly convinced me that angels are real, and are probably all around us.

This was a re-order, to give to a friend to read.I had a quick read of some of the events recorded in the pages, and it was so good to refresh my memory on the stories.

To see and read again and again how our Lord protects, guides and loves us when we trust in Him is totally overwhelming! The book was in excellent condition. I already knew the contents and bought this one to give because it is now out of print. It is an inspiring read and should challenge people who say angels aren't real.

This is a really useful book, featuring testimonies selected from research done personally by the author, from mainly UK contributors. Her aim is to shed light upon what ordinary Christians know/have experienced of angels. She writes well and makes a range of helpful points that are backed up with Biblical references, and inspirational first-hand, recent accounts - with some accounts from earlier in 20th century history.

Great book full of believable accounts spanning many years including quite recently. Well written and inspiring.
