Nice pictures but limited info.
This book has nice pictures of the sites and some short itineraries but these can all be found for free on trip advisor.

Best Travel Guide to Purchse Before Going
Love DK books, they have everything you need to learn about the city you plan to visit. Starting with history, highlights, what to see, where to go, where to stay and where to eat. DK also gives you different touring options from a ninety minute walking tour to a 36 hour itinerary. If staying long enough they even give you plans for daytrips. The best part are the color photos of thecity andart

Good To Prep for A Trip - Less Useful Once There
I found the DK guidebook on Vienna useful for getting ready for my recent trip. It has much information on the key attractions and the sections of the city. Since I had never been to Vienna it helped me familiarize myself with the city before arrival and was valuable in prioritizing where I wanted to spend my time. The drawback is the restaurant information is somewhat inaccurate. My best meals in Vienna were in places not mentioned or featured in this book. The places the book did recommend were in a few instances quite disappointing. I have found this to be true for several other DK guidebooks that I've used. My advice is if you want a book that will whet your appetite for a destination such as Vienna then this is a good choice for reading before you go. Once on the ground it is less useful and rather bulky to carry. Maps were decent but there are one page walking maps available at any major hotel.
