We bought this pad eye to add a center lifting point to our garage hoist lifting beam, and we had a friend weld it on for us, since we no longer have a welder. We ground it and painted it, and it looks great and works well. We use 7/16" and 1/2" shackles with it (5/8" and 3/4" shackles will not work because of the pad eye's small hole size) and it handles our lifting needs with ease. Just be sure to measure the inside hole first so you order what will work for your application.

These things are sick! They are expensive but if you want quality look no further. Better have a good welder a piece of crap over seas welder is not going to cut it with these babies.
