Great Book, Great Series
I've been working with this book since November! Learning and being able to throw these licks into my everyday playing has been great fun!I've gone ahead and picked up The Caged System and 100 Rock licks too.The audio is great to play along with, and easy to access!Looking forward to picking up other books in this series!

100 licks and beyond
Diverse selection of blues artists (and some different tunings) to learn some quick licks from. Audio files have samples of the licks as well as backing tracks for each artist to play over. Each artists has a brief history page as well. If you're not familiar with one of the artists, there is recommended listening for each one, in which there are about 4 or 5 songs that are recommended where you can here the style and influence for the licks. Not only are the licks displayed in tablature, but there's usually a couple sentences blip on how to nail tricky parts or what key or scale is used so you can know how to implement it into your playing or improvise on it.Like all the books in the Fundamental Changes series, I love this one, just wish there was a spiral bound option to make it sit easier on music stands.

Good book, questionable audio files
I do like this book overall, and it has lots of good blues lick examples to practice. My main complaint with it is the accompanying audio files. Many of the samples feel like they don't quite match what is in the book. Additionally, with the way the guitar is mixed in with the bass and drums, it's often hard to pick out exactly what the guitar is doing. It would be nice if there was a version of each sample that was just guitar. Aside from that, I am enjoying the book, and have incorporated it into my practice routine.

Great book
I've been playing guitar for 48 years. Most of my personal repertoire is in the rock genre. This book is a pleasant addition and I thoroughly enjoy the licks in this book. It helps you enjoy the "language" of blues guitar. I am thoroughly versed in music theory but you don't necessarily need to know it to learn from, and enjoy, this book. I highly recommend it.

Great book!
This book is a very insightful one. Not only gives you the licks that you want to play, but the author also takes the time to teach you about the different artists that the licks are based on. It gives you information on the style of the artist, what chords the licks are based on, and what are the concepts you are working on each lick. I think is a great book and I would recommend you get it if you are wanting to learn about different blues artists, their styles and their signature licks.

Great and accurate tabs
The background of the artist coupled with the licks are very helpful. The audio tracks that accompany the book are a must.

Paper back is worth getting
I purchased the paperback version of 100 Classic Blues Licks but got distracted and didn't take advantage of it. Recently I pulled it out and realized this is what I need to add to whatever else I was working on. I find this a great respite from working on core exercises such as triads and arpeggios. Kind of like a snack during exercise.

Blues You Can Use
Got this book today. I already own several of Joseph Alexander's books and was excited to find out that he'd released another one.The book is laid out extremely well and consists of chapters on many influential blues guitarists, including Eric Clapton, Freddie King, Peter Green, SRV and Joe Bonamassa. At the beginning of each chapter there's a quick bio of the featured artist which is followed by a number of TAB licks based on the playing style of that artist. There's also details of the accompanying audio download so that you can hear what the licks should sound like.I've already been through Alexander's 'Complete Guide To Playing Blues Compilation' and for me I think that this book continues on from where that one left off. That said, you would get a lot from this book even if you hadn't studied any of Alexander's other books.I would thoroughly recommend this book and I give it five stars!

Unreadable tabs when downloaded
I downloaded this onto my phone, Kindle reader (Paperwhite) and Laptop, but cannot read the music examples (Music stave and tablature) on any of the devices. The printing is tiny and doesn't seem to be "zoomable" and appears only to have three lines to represent the 6 strings or 5 lines of the stave.Unable to decide whether this is due to download (though all other text in the book is very c;lear, or whether the examples are so small in the original that they lose their quality in transfer. The history of the blues players is very good but just cant practise the guitar using the examples :(

Book is Just awesome
I got this book as a gift for a good friend of mine for christmas who is wanting to learn to play the blues, so I got him this book to help. Now its only april and his soloing has leapt on quite a deal and he loves the book. He is now looking into more books from this range.I'm a guitarist as well and found the book really intuitive and it has taught me some licks as well and I play Bass. This book is the first of many I will be getting from fundamental Changes.

Overall good
So far I'm enjoying this book; worked through the Johnny Winter and Albert King sections. I wouldn't say the licks are long or very hard, most are a dozen notes maximum but some good stuff among it. I do agree with some other reviewers that some of the licks are a bit generic and not really attributable to the artist in questions. Nevertheless they are useful. Found quite a few mistakes in the tab vs the audio but they're easy enough to overcome.

Great book I will be getting more in the series
It's a great book that give a short background on the musicians but doesn't blab on to much. gets straight down to reason for the book .The audio back up is very good easy to use and download load you can also move them to a tablet or phone so very handy as you can take them anywhere . You don't have to learn everything you can just go to the Artists that you follow . It's a great add to your music library you won't regret buying it. I will be going back to it for years to come.
