The mat is thick, soft and luxurious. The Gund symbol is there and it is easy to see how much attention went into making such a quality product. The ivory is a true ivory not yellow like the picture. I will buy another in a larger size.

These mats do not have the rubber backing. They can be placed either-side up - except the back side has two large tags on them, so you might need to carefully trim the tags off. They are soft, comfortable, wash and dry beautifully and are made in the USA in an eco-friendly way. I am careful about giving out 5 stars. This is five stars.

Lovely weave, soft absorbent cotton. What's not to like? Really nice and worth the price.

A small, nice quality bath mat. It's about as thick or plush as a medium priced hotel bath mat, which is to say not very soft or plush or cushy. If you want a more basic mat, one that you can wash easily, and not worry about much, this is a decent choice. We have a hard time finding organic cotton now. We had some wonderful organic Egyptian cotton bath mats but the cat wrecked a couple of those and we threw those away. Since then we've been on a quest to find actual cotton that is not GMO. We bought one cheap-ish mat at a brick and mortar store, in the meantime; and the cat, as much as it had loved sleeping on the prior bath mats, won't even walk on that GMO mat. That was the only mat we had, for a long time, while we tried to find new ones. Didn't matter. The cat would make a beeline around it. This Grund bath mat, she isn't too fond of because it's not that plush; but she will occasionally nap on it. That's our ersatz quality test from now on, for whether or not a mat is organic cotton. As for human usage, the mat is fine; it's functional, and has held up. Still looks new. We do miss our thicker cotton mats but those seem to be nonexistent, here or in stores. A flat mat isn't bad in some ways because it stays tidy and neat easier. This Grund mat is small (not much square footage), so you can always fit it into a washload. It is also nice if you haven't much floor space.

I wanted so badly to love this bath mat. Sadly no. First off, it was supposed to be white and wasn't. Not a deal breaker, but disappointing. The deal breaker was that the mat is so thick it doesn't dry out. Stays damp even overnight. I've tried and tried to find a "Fairtrade" towel style bath mat, but no luck. That is the only style bath mat I've used for years and have grown to love them. Sadly none of the Fairtrade companies I've found so far seem to make them. I really don't understand why since that seems an obvious choice. I have to replace my old mats though so I've chosen to go with a non-Fairtrade option. I did find some mats that claim to be manufactured without the use of toxic chemicals. . [hope it's not "green-washing"] Those are the ones I've chosen. Can't return these as I've used them. I'll find a use for them I expect, but I'm so very unhappy with my "save the people/planet" attempt didn't pan out.

These are great mats! I bought a couple and then bought a couple more...I toss them in with the towels and rotate them through with my bleached whites--always a fresh one available! Holds up nicely and looks great with white towels...very luxury hotelesque!

I have had this product *for two years* and it still looks new. It is very soft, completely washable and dryable, and the perfect size. I was hesitant to spend so much on a bath mat, but the quality is such that I'm sure I will have it for years.

I found a bath mat very similar when I was staying in a very nice Air B'n'B. I loved it so much, because it looked and felt luxurious. This one is just like that one I saw.
