These are well made, solid aluminum. The ring light is genius. I’ve never purchased Zeiss, but the optics seem very good to me and do the job very well. The case and accessories make this a great purchase.

I've tried a series of mangnifing flasses, and this seems the best one so far.Reasons:1. Has a glass lens.You don't want to buy those multi-lenses ones, those has plastic lenses and won't even provide a clear view.2. Halo LED lights with diffusers.Really nice feature when you don't want to see too much glints.And LEDs from different angle is like surgical lights, perfect for small object imaging.3. It is coated with paint.So you won't scratch your precious subject with bare metal and burrs from stamping.....4. The switch is on the front side (LEDs are on the back).5. The protective case comes with it is also decent and can be actually used.Overall a nicely designed and manufactured piece of product. It uses 3x 936 battery.

I find the quality of this product to be excellent! Sturdy and easy to use, the magnification makes all the difference! And, the light is a game changer! With the quick flip of a switch you can see flaws in a gemstone or any other small object that is hard to see in natural light. Has a UV light feature also, if you have an interest in that.

I have struggled for years to find, not only a great magnifier, but also one that has a reliable and effective built in LED light source. I have now found it with this sturdy built piece. The lens is triplet glass and the construction is metal which makes for something that is expected to last for years. Admittedly, this will be primarily used for viewing coins as I like to get close to see all details and this lighted lens is simply perfect.

I already have a 20x loop of similar design. The image is clear the lighting easy to use and avoids the issue I had with a previous loop where it was easy to close it up leaving the light on. The accessories are of a good quality.
