Seiko 9" Brown Wooden Case with Chime Mantel Clock

If there were 10 stars, that would be my rating. The last thing I needed in my 63 years of life was another chiming clock. I ordered this to take with me on my weekend getaway trips to Atlanta and Pensacola. I received it this afternoon and I checked the settings from the factory which I was satisfied with, moved the time to 1:35 and installed the battery at that time. I didn't hear a 1:45 chime, but boy was it loud and beautiful at 2:00!!! I have what Seiko calls a modern wall clock and I greatly admire it. This clock definitely did not disappoint me!! I left it on maximum volume all day and this evening I actually turned the volume down. This is going to be a perfect hotel room accompiant!! I am hard on my clocks, I hold them to the atomic clock in Colorado. I very, very, very much highly recommend this mantle clock if you want one that sounds closely to a grandfather clock!! 07 October 2025 Recently I went on a getaway trip for two days. I was about to get on the interstate and somehow I remembered I forgot this clock. At first, I thought Oh well, but then I thought, this is the reason I bought the clock, so I turned around and got it. I had it set on maximum volume which I thoroughly enjoy, but I had to turn it down in the state park cottage I was staying in. It is amazing what Seiko has designed in chiming clocks!! If you enjoy the sound of a grandfather clock, I highly recommend this small size Seiko mantle clock. By the way, it sounds at it's fullest potential when resting on a firm surface. I had it on the passenger seat on my way to Lake Eufaula and it was very muffled. I completely enjoy Howard Miller clocks, but Seiko has developed incredible sounding clocks. 27 December 2025 If you want a clock that keeps perfect time and sounds very close to a grandfather clock, this, in my opinion, is your perfect choice. The chime volume is precisely controllable and that is about all I can say about it. I had it set on maximum volume on my recent trip to Pensacola, Florida and it didn't disrupt my sleep. While I had a one bedroom suite, it was still a small living area. Keep an eye on the price because I have seen it in the mid 80's recently on Amazon. I have always wanted a grandfather's clock but live in a one bedroom apartment so it would be too big. I decided to get a mantel clock instead. I received this clock on Friday, and I love it! It is very well made and solid! It is just the right size for my apartment and the chimes sound wonderful. I decided on this particular clock because of the Seiko name and the reviews written about it. It takes one C battery - not the AA that is noted in the description. The battery is included. I love that you can adjust the volume. Living in an apartment building I didn't want to annoy the neighbors. I have it set about 1/2 way and it is plenty loud for me. I noticed when I tried putting it below halfway that it didn't chime at all. It has the option of turning off the chimes at night. There are also 2 different chime selections. I have always loved the Westminster chimes so that is what I have mine set at. I find it quite soothing and my cat isn't annoyed by it either. I keep the chimes on 24x7 and am a light sleeper - but am not bothered by it at all. It chimes every 15 minutes and chimes out the hours at the top of the hour. It appears to be keeping great time. The price is very reasonable too. I would highly recommend it. I shot a short video of it and posted it to my FB wall - and have received great comments about it. One of my friends at work told her husband she wants one for Christmas. It is an impressive little clock. It is made in China - but is well made.

This is a beautifully designed clock that looks antique, and the chime sounds authentic with easily adjustable volume. Excellent product!

Nice Westmoreland Chimes clock. This is a beautiful clock that chimes every fifteen minutes. Nice quality chime sounds. The clock looks and works great. I would recommend purchasing it.

Nice clock with chime. I would like better if you could set the morning start chime an hour later than 6am. Other than that it sounds great. It sounds like a grandfather clock, and keeps great time.

Very nice! A compact, classic clock that comes with 2 chime music options for an hourly strike. It also has a volume control that goes all the way to mute, if you prefer no sounds. Lastly, it has an option for a 'sleepmode' with the clock going on mute between 23:00-5:59. Requires a battery. So far so good, and the real color is quite close to image color.

We couldn't be happier with this little timepiece. Keeps time perfectly plus the chime is what we think would be a large scale grandfather clock. Great buy....thank you SEIKO and thank you AMAZON for carrying this product at such a reasonable price :)

Replaced an antique mantel clock of similar size. This one is better. Don’t have to wind it and love the Westminster chime.

Wunderschöner Klang. In der Lautstärke verstellbar. Schönes Holz und gute verarbeitung. Genaue Zeitangabe. Auch nicht zu wuchtig. Würde sie immer wieder kaufen. Bin sehr zufrieden.

Lindo relógio de mesa ( conhecido como relógio de lareira em inglês = "Mantel Clock" ). Não é muito grande e fica bem num escritório ou numa sala de médio porte. Acabamento perfeito! muito primoroso! com a marca Seiko. Possui duas melodias a escolher: a clássica "westminster" e uma outra melodia menos conhecida. Um trecho da melodia selecionada (escolhida) toca de 15 em 15 minutos, sendo que nas horas cheias, toca a melodia inteira seguida do número de batimentos das horas (Exemplo: às quatro horas faz quatro batidas): O Ponto negativo são as poucas possibilidades de programação: a forma silenciosa noturna apaga apenas o bater das horas cheias, mas não silencia a melodia de 15 em 15 minutos que continua tocando durante a madrugada... Não é um bom relógio para um cômodo, onde alguém dorme à noite. Foi uma ótima compra e recomendo para toda a comunidade da Amazon.
