BayTec - 32oz Purogene Drinking Water Treatment and Sanitizer for Storage Systems, Long-Term Drinking Water Storage

We used up the previous container and got more because it works so well and essentially no chlorine smell. We just added it to our whole unit filter, added fresh water and let it sit in the tank for a few hours. Drained and refilled without having to drain/fill a couple of times to get rid of the smell with old process.

I've been using this for 2 years and when I test my water it's fine. It tastes good and I will continue to use it regularly.

Great stuff, have used it for years, it's very expensive compared to other treatments but absolutley the best we have tried on many customer yachts and RVs. It's an oxide of chlorine so much safer for consumption than regular bleach. They also have packets of Citric Acid you can mix with it to make a really strong shock dose if the tank is super gnarly. We used it on a customer class A RV that had been sitting for 10 years and after the shock treatment and rinsing several times then using the normal dose, the water was actually drinkable. Use it in my own Burning Man RV all the time

This is so much more pleasant than the bleach method to sanitize RV freshwater tanks and system. No bleachy smell or taste. A bit on the expensive side, but we feel more confident about using Purogene in areas with questionable water fills and when the weather is really hot.

Got the job done

I use this for disinfecting my bird baths, so that the birds that use them do not get diseases like pink-eye. This is a true disinfecting product, and if it does not work, then you messed up -- the problem is with you, not with ClO2.

Have been using it in the motorhome for over a year now and have not had to do a tank / system sanitation when before, I normally would have had to do it at least once. Any water that I put into the tank gets treated and it used between campgrounds.
