Best ever
These are the best garden pick to have. Very durable in our rocky limestone soil. I bought two just so I have one in the front yard and one in the back yard.

False advertisement!
A good axe but not as advertised, only 16" handle when description notes that it is 36". Do not buy, and there is no clear way to remedy the situation before Christmas.

IMPORTANT POINT: The Ludell catalog (p.11) correctly states that this item (#9605) has a 16" handle so the Amazon description is wrong when it states 36" handle.[...]I am buying this one for a gift because I love the one I have. I bought my first one at my Home Depot but they now only sell the one with the claw (tiller they call it) instead of the pick. So, I bought a $14 cheapo that worked well for grubbing around in the dirt but broke with the first good whack on a rock.This tools is lightweight and has a nice grip. There's not one dent or chip in the metal and that's with heavy use. The pick part is at the correct angle for striking, many other picks I looked at had too much curve to them.
