Furnace/Air Handler/HVAC Air Filter Media Roll, Orange/White MERV8 Polyester Media - 1 inch x 25 inch x 5 foot - Cut to Size

This air filter roll was just what I was looking for, a thick filter with a strong filtration rating and suitable for trimming to fit my AC filter frame. It wasn't too hard to cut with shears and it fit my frame smoothly. As described one side is white and the other side is orange, so you can install it with whichever side facing out you prefer. This is reasonably priced for the amount of material you get.

As described, could not cut with my cheap household scissors, had to use a utility knife. Worked well for my AC vent filters that I cut into10" x 10" squares and used 2 wires for stability.

For what it is, it is a good product and will work well for many uses. For me, I wanted to replace the filter material on my air exchanger because they were so old, they were just falling apart. This works but does stiff and does not lay flat, so I had to tape the edges down. It works but not the best product for what I wanted to use it for.

Perfect and an exact replacement for the previous medium I was using. The filter is sturdy and thick, easy to cut to size, and works well.

This thing grabs every little particle that you would otherwise be breathing. The price is so good that I throw it away after about 3 or 4 months and replace it with a new one. It has a sticky kind of thing in it that traps every little particle and I would have invented a few new cuss words if I'd tried to get it clean. Buying a new one is cheap and easy.

Got tired of the subpar filter material that fits the tall door on a mobile home furnace. This filter media is so much better. It's it HEPA, no , but so much better. You will need a plastic backing to support this when the fan is on. I buy a roll once or twice a year.

Purchased this 5 foot x 25 inch filter roll for my replaceable frame because the filter for my frame is no longer being manufactured. This orange roll is described as 5 feet--60 inches--x 25 inches. This should make three 20"x25" filters. Unfortunately, this roll will only make two 20" filter replacements with about 16"-17" left. I may try to cut a bit smaller for the next replacement; however, the filter must cover the entire frame. Also, the orange, sticky side (the original filters had a green sticky side and a white side) seems to pull away from the white. I don't think this will be a problem once installed in the frame. I will try to update this review once the filter has been in for 60-90 days. That was the recommended life of the green filters.

I got this because it was the cheapest per sq foot in MERV 8. The higher the MERV rating the more particulate it grabs. Merv 8 is hospital standard. Anything less will let lots of stuff by. 10 is sufficient for home that replace every month. I used this behind box fans to reduce pet dander. Works pretty good. It is washable but doesnt seem to like it. Its also easy to cut with plain ol scissors.
