Here is what I have done. I started out in the beginning by dropping about a full cup of Rid-x at night and I ran the water as HOT as I could get it from the Hot Water tank for about 4 minutes that first night. I backed the water temp back down and went to bed. If the pipes smelled I put in a cap full of Odor Ban and 2 cups of warm water. I did everything as usual the next week. When laundry day came I started all over again with i cup full of Rid-x and let the HOT water run in the drain pipe connected to the laundry tub for as long as I could with out it running up from the floor drain. Did my laundry and re-did the steps again. Every week I do this and I have not had to call the plumber who cost me in the $100,00's for the last two or three years. In your stool's drop 2 cups and flush at least once with Cold water and I've had no trouble's if I do this every 2 weeks. I'm a firm believer in Rid - X t has saved me Big Bucks. If your kitchen drain is running Slow--you might have to use some LYE -- but be Extremely CAREFUL. And be sure and Always use HOT WATER in your Main Line and COLD WATER in your stool's. You'll be happier and Not spend any Money for a plumber that wants to clean your main line every year for BIG BUCKS.
