Im very new to carving wood. I have an "Old" dremel that works and had some old burrs that still cut wood. I thought those bits were cutting pretty good but I bought this Kuztall Extreme flame burr because the fellow I watch (Jordy Johnson) uses this burr a lot. WOW, what a change. This bit cuts thru the wood like crazy. I've only had this burr 1 day and been cutting a lot of aspen ALL day. This bit is a material removing monster. I see a lot more Kutzall burrs in my future. Cost a lot more than a 10 Pk of Chinese burrs but so worth the price.

The flame burr has excellent cutting ability. However, do not drop this burr on a hard surface. I did and destroyed one side of its tip. It still cuts, but not as well. Rather than buy a different brand burr, I padded the floor around the area I work and bought a second. I believe your product is the best aggressive rotary burr in production today. Keep up the great workmanship.

The roofers added skylights in a loft, but the new osb layment needed to be trimmed slightly before I added the drywall. This Dremel bit let me shave off 1/4” x 24” from the edge of the osb board so the drywall fit straight into the skylight groove. Since the skylight was installed directly against the osb edge, and other tools I considered would likely have damaged the skylight. The Dremel approached offered me the best control and speed. Quick work and no damage.

Kutzall is the only wood carving bits you need—always great quality.

Wanted something effective for small wood carving with the Dremel and this is it (bought a fine one as well). On the expensive side but outstanding value - don't waste your money on the sets of burrs that cost $20-30, they are essentially ineffective. I also use the Kutzall shaping discs for the angle grinder, cannot recommend this company enough - I have no affiliation with them, I just love being creative with wood and they allow me to do this.
