Best buy on Amazon
I ordered this fence and rails, then watched each day by tracking it. Then on the due date it said out for delivery, but never arrived. The following day it again said out for delivery but never arrived. The follwing day the tracking said it was being returned to shipper. So I called UPS, the following day( 4 days after scheduled delivery) they returned my call and said the package was so badly destroyed thay had to open it to get the delivery information since the label was destroyed. UPS said they would not deliver the package in that condition and returned it to the shipper. So I called Amazon and told them what happened, they were very helpfull and said they would ship another right away. I told them that I had read the reviews about the poor packaging and the problems related to that. After a few days I received my new fence and rails undamaged. The installation was simple and straight forward, although none of the holes lined up with my 35 yr old Craftsman table saw. I did have to drill and tap the saw with the included drill and tap, however the drill did not make it through the first hole in the cast iron table, so I had to use my own bit. Other than having to drill and tap holes in the saw the installation was very simple and only took a couple of hours to install and set up. The fence is perfect, I could not imagine a more costly fence being any better, the rails are heavy steel and the fence is dead on every time. I installed the measured scale according to instrucions and it is dead on. I would definately buy this fence and rails again if the need should arise, however I think this heavy duty system will last for ever. I wish they made one for my band saw.

Great fence. Big improvement.
This was a great upgrade to my Grizzly G0833P table saw. The original fence was junk. The Shop Fox fence was heavy duty and easy to install. No drilling was required. It's accurate and easy use. Well worth the money! I highly recommend it.

Quality product kept simple for the price comparisons
Not a SawStop or Powermatic but nice enough when set up Correctly you'll get accurate cuts every time. Take your time read the directions and never avoid the Fine tuning. I really like mine and it sits on a 48x24 saw table with a zero clearance insert which I made out of a cheap ryobi table saw to start. Perfect for building cabinetry using sheet goods. Accurate every time. Box that it came in from the other side of the world was in shambles when I got it. Kinda pissed me off that some stateside lame brain could not wrap it in tape before shipping it but no telling which lazy dummy or set of dummies in the shipping or delivery aspect of my particular unit is to blame. Sorry, I got distracted... Main thing is after I got it... where my UPS guy ran away from my door step leaving the destroyed box, ...& after I got done muttering...I said a prayer & it was undamaged because this thing weighs alot and is a great quality Biesemeyer type Fence. Allows me to have true cuts and floats with a finger push on my flat & level table saw top.

Great fence, marginal packaging
This is a heavy, massive fence and rail system, which is exactly what I wanted. The packaging could be better, though. The box weighed at least 80 lbs. Thank God for SuperSaver shipping! When I received mine, the box was trashed and the styrofoam that is supposed to keep the pieces separated was destroyed. None the less, this fence system is so robust, there was no damage to the fence or rail system from bouncing around loose inside the box. I had to add some holes to each rail to fit my saw, but I expected that. The fence is supposed to rest on the rear rail, flush with the table top. I couldn't install it that way, however, because the rear rail was bowed and was about 1/8" higher in the center. I adjusted the installation so the fence rides on the table except when beyond the table to the right, when it rides on the rear rail. After installation and adjustment I measured +/- .005" waviness to the UHMW poly fence face. 20 pounds of pull to the right at the rear end of the fence resulted in less than .010" deflection. Everything about this fence system is BEEFY and RIDGID. I expect that this fence will out-last me.

New life for my old table saw
My old fence broke on my table saw and the manufacturer doesn't provide replacement parts anymore. I started looking at replacement saws and replacement fences. Finally, I decided to bite the bullet and purchase the Shop Fox W2005 fence. When I received the fence, the box was pretty torn up which I have seen in several other reviews. There was some missing hardware which must have fallen out of one of the holes in the box. However, when I contacted the company, I received great service and replacement parts were sent out without question. The fence and mounting rails are pretty heavy so you will need either a helper or something to support the rails while you install them. Once I got everything installed, I did some test cuts and boy do I wish I had gotten this fence a long time ago. The fence is actually parallel to my blade which is an issue I always struggled with when the original fence was still operational. When you lock it down, it stays where you want it and the non-stick surface works great for any rip cuts you make. I am a hobbyist, so this doesn't get the same use as a commercial shop, but I do some cabinet making and accurate cuts are important, so this fence was a perfect choice for me. Before I bought it, I was a little put off by the price. Considering it was close to what I paid for my Grizzly saw back in the early 90's, it seemed like it may be overkill. However, I don't regret the decision for one minute. It is a quality heavy duty product and I expect to get many years of service. Five stars for me. I love this thing. UPDATE: While I still love the fence, you should be aware that some saws such as my Grizzly G1022 will not allow for a 45 degree cut using the new fence rails. The motor mounting bracket will not clear the rear fence rail as you approach the 45 degree setting. I did need to drill new holes during my original installation to align the rails to the holes in my saw top. Now I will have to do some more modifications to allow clearance for the motor mount. This is not a deal breaker, but you should be aware of this possibility if you are replacing your fence.

Robust and dead on accurate
Absolutely a great product for the price. Once mounted, it was a pleasure to use and dead on accurate. The only issue was in mounting the rails which required drilling holes and threading them to my nearly 50 year old Craftsman contractor's table saw. The drill bit and tap supplied were worthless. The bit wouldn't cut butter and the tap wouldn't thread cotton. Fortunately, I had my own bit and tap and was able to quickly bore the necessary holes and thread them. I wish I had this product a long time ago.

Don’t waste your time with other fence systems!
I originally started my fence update on my 1939 Delta Unisaw with a biesemeyer fence and rail system. After 3 failed deliveries consisting of incomplete and damaged orders I went with the shop fox w2005. The package arrived in tact, undamaged and complete. Installation was less than an hour of time and the fence slides, locks and cuts true. Couldn’t be happier with the product. The two things I wish I could change would be adding a second tape ruler for the left side of the blade and adding different hardware. I did have to purchase 3/8x24 thread bold to attach the angle to my table saw top but I chalk that up to being over 80 years old. But this fence, you will not be disappointed.

A great fence, with minor gripes.
I bought this because the fence on my Rigid tablesaw was trash from day 1. The mounting holes on the front and rear rails needed to be modified as the predrilled holes were not aligned with my table leaving mitre slots completely blocked if I did not correct it. Not a big deal, I'm used to drilling holes with accuracy but I can see this being a problem for someone who is not. I could have done without the hardware being metric, but as that is a personal preference it really isn't a big deal. I did find that the screws that fasten the magnified cursor protrude the bottom of the fence surface that rides on the front rail tube. The excess needs to be ground down as to prevent the front rail tube from scratches.

I bought it used a few years ago and those old fences with the round tube rails are completely useless. I spent more time measuring front and back ...
I bought this to replace the old JetLock style fence on my general 350 table saw. The saw is 45 years old, I bought it used a few years ago and those old fences with the round tube rails are completely useless. I spent more time measuring front and back of the blade than I did cutting anything. The Shop Fox rails bolted right up to my General with no need to drill or tap anything. It locks square to the blade every single time. Functionally this fence is leaps and bounds better than those old fences. It’s a Biesemeyer clone but a quality one. Though pricey I would definitely do the upgrade if you are on the fence, I regret the few years of hair pulling I put myself through. The fence arrived with 2 screws that hold the plastic faceplate broken (as if they were over torqued or cross threaded) which is why I deducted a star, otherwise 5 stars. It’s 80lbs of angle iron and square iron tube shipped in a cardboard box (plus bolts, washers, rail legs, and sticky tape), as others have said the box arrived completely beat up, torn in multiple places, straps broken and yet by some miracle everything inside was accounted for and not at all damaged. Totally recommend this product.
