OXO Good Grips Julienne Prep Peeler

I didn’t expect to love a julienne peeler, but the OXO Good Grips Julienne Prep Peeler has earned a permanent spot in my kitchen drawer. It’s one of those tools that just works without any fuss. Performance: The blades are extremely sharp in a good way — they glide through carrots, zucchini, and potatoes with almost no pressure. I can prep a full bowl of veggie strips in a fraction of the time it used to take with a knife or mandoline. The cuts are clean and consistent, which makes dishes look more professional with zero effort. Ease of Use: The handle lives up to the “Good Grips” name. It’s comfortable, secure, and doesn’t slip even when my hands are wet. The size is perfect for control, and the tool feels sturdy without being heavy. I use this on carrots and zucchini. The shreds are uniform and easy to cut. Very short handle so if you have big hands, it might be uncomfortable to use. I do wish it came with a blade cover. The blade is *extremely* sharp. I wrap the blade with a wad of paper towels and keep it in a sandwich bag. It does the job efficiently, but just be careful using it and washing the blade.

Occasionally the blades flip so you have to carefully (sharp) flip them back but it is pretty nifty. I bought two with one to give my sister. It makes quick work of shredding carrots, cucumbers, zucchini for a salad or slaw. Haven’t tried it with sweet or russet potatoes but I would imagine it makes great crispy thin potato shreds to put on a steak or burger. You could use the shreds for summer rolls too.

This is great! Its a little on the small size, but I have small hands so its fine for me. It is very sharp, strong and sturdy when using. I've been using it for carrots and long radishes for salads its perfect. I did use it for cabbage and I was happily surprised it worked better than my chef knife skills. So go ahead, get it, it'll make you happy.😁

This is perfect for julienne your veggies are special if you want to make spaghetti noodles with zucchini and perfect for potatoes and everything that you want to peel. This is a great product. I love the Comfort on the handle. The speed is really fast.

This is very convenient when you only need a small amount of julienned vegetables. The blade is very sharp as well. My issue is that the handle is shorter/smaller than I would like and making it difficult to keep a firm grip after a while.

Great thin matchstick size pieces! Easy to use and apply presure for best outcome. Works best on longer vegetables like carrots, parsnips, etc.

Works exactly as described. Easy to use. Easy to clean. I wish there was a cover for the blade as it is sharp.
